However, a benefit of working for MRCOG is that MRCOG contributes a large portion of the employees’ contribution amount (up to 75% of the employees’ required contribution).
Contributions amounts are a percentage of your base salary as determined by the coverage plan provided by the MRCOG and are a required payroll deduction for all qualified employees.
Public safety employees can retire after 20 years in Tier 1; Public safety employees can retire after 25 years in Tier 2; higher PERA contributions are required.
Compared to other government employers in New Mexico, MRCOG's plan is the most generous and the least costly to employees because the MRCOG pays 80 percent of the premium cost.
Employees, their qualifying spouse or domestic partner, and qualifying dependents are eligible for insurance coverage.
Insurance coverage is effective on the employee's hire date.
MRCOG strives to provide a competitive, comprehensive compensation package that will attract and retain the brightest and best. We are especially proud to offer up to 12 weeks of Paid Parental Leave effective January 14, 2019. Please read the frequently asked questions posted below.
