Acreage:  Less than one acre/ 4 small sized greenhouses, orchard, 1000 tree nursery

Job Description:  Summer activity help  needed in: watering (it is actually an art form), transplanting fig and pomegranate trees into larger containers (a little like midwifery), little repairs on greenhouses, set up and working with  many diverse aspects of gardening in the form of questions from the public about  gardening generally and care, harvesting and history in New Mexico of fig, and pomegrante trees specifically at two weekly, weekend, morning growers markets..  This paid position is a great opportunity to work with an exotic fruit tree expert. 

Overall Vision: This experienced farmer is additionally interested in mentoring a beginning farmer on his urban farm to learn the art and profession of growing and propagating trees.  He would like to train someone, or a couple folks, in growing out and caring for ancient, local, historical fig trees primarily " ...but also Chinese dates, heirloom grapes, carob, and pomegranate."  This situation is a hands-on, back-yard operation.
