Reference#:132 County: Bernalillo Zip code: 87121 Type of opportunity sought: Interested in growing vegetables and starting small animal-husbandry projects. I currently do not have land, but I am looking for land to farm. Specified interest in farming/ranching/animal-raising: Interested in full-time opportunity. Background in farming: I am an experienced farmer or rancher. Willing to consider the following types of business arrangements: Would like to buy, if possible. Leasing would also work. Stated interest in on-site housing: None stated. Business plan and/or market in mind: I need help developing a business plan or finding markets for my products. Other information: I am from Paraguay and have farmed all of my life. I have been farming in New Mexico for 3 years, with an organic CSA, and I am intereted in beginning my own farm within the next 2-3 years. I am mostly interested in growing vegetables. I would like to start a small CSA or sell to the schools. I'd also like to raise animals (ex: pigs and chickens). I am looking for at least 5 acres, ideally between Santa Fe and ABQ (45 minutes to 1 hour outside the city), so that the land is still accessible to farmer’s markets.
