Type of opportunity sought: We are looking for 2+ acres with a house in the Taos area that we can lease long-term.
Specified interest in farming/ranching/animal-raising: Interested in a full-time opportunity.
Interested in growing/raising: Vegetables, herbs, poultry/fowl, and goats/sheep.
Interested in these farming/ranching practices: Organic, biodynamic, and/or permaculture.
Background in farming: I am an experienced farmer or rancher.
Willing to consider the following types of business arrangements: Interested in a long-term lease arrangement.
Stated interest in on-site housing: Only interested in opportunities that include housing.
Other Information: There are two of us. One with experience raising fowl for both meat and eggs, as well as goats for goat milk products such as goat yogurt, kiefer, butter and milk. Experienced in both raising and butchering. The other is experienced in small crop management. We want to install a 22' geodesic growing dome that is fully operational and climate controlled, with edible plants, aquaponics for recycling water, and a fish tank for Talapia. We have all the investment capital, a proven marketing plan which includes local farmer's markets and local restaurants as well as community CSA's. We need a site with 2+ acres, a house and possible pre-existing pens or coops, (though we can build our own if necessary). We also would like to incorporate Bee Hives and indoor mushroom cultivation. We would like a long term lease and are willing to pre pay several months as incentive to a potential landlord.
