80 Acres Available for Cattle/Partnership Near Mountainair Print E-mail

Listing124bThis is a listing for the Central New Mexico LandLink program. If you are not familiar with the program please visit the LandLink home page for more information.

Reference #: 124

County: Torrance

Vision/Details: I am interested in bartering/partnering with someone who wants to run cattle on my property. I have about 80 acres available, located 5-7 miles from Mountainair. I have a cafe in town, where the beef could possibly be used. The land is part of a conservation district with minimum 40-acre zoning per parcel. It's surrounded by mesas and bluffs, and was part of the National Forest before it was homesteaded. Great views...

Land-Use History: In the past, the land has been used in dry land farming. I have run cattle before, so fencing and water are in place.

Soil & Water: Dry land, no irrigation, low impact only. I have two wells, one of which is brackish.

Desired Farming Practices: Bio-intensive.

Housing: Possibly available in the future.

Acreage: ~80 acres available.

Equipment: I might have a tractor available.
