Specified interest in farming/ranching/animal-raising: I am interested in farming as a hobby or as a part-time job. Interested in growing/raising: Vegetables, herbs, and poultry/fowl. Interested in these farming/ranching practices: Organic and permaculture. Background in farming: I have some agriculture-related experience, as well as extensive organic gardening experience. Training and education: Informal apprenticeship and general farming (3 years or less). Willing to consider the following types of business arrangements: Buy/sell, rent, and/or partnership. Stated interest in on-site housing: No preference. Business Plan: Yes, I have a business plan or a market in mind. Other Information: My plan is to be "the tomato guy," with heirloom varieties, fresh distribution to local markets and restaurants, and value-added products through a commercial canning operation. I need access to water and would prefer to have the flexibility to install renewable-energy systems, rain harvesting, hoop houses and/or green houses.
