kids_and_box.jpgJoin the community in celebrating foods from the ground up at the first ever 2008 Local Food Festival and Field Day, sponsored by the Mid-Region Council of Governments.  Bring the whole family to taste and celebrate local foods while also enjoying live music, mini-workshops, games and activities. 

Mark your calendars now!  Join us on May 17, 2008 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Historic Hubbell House and Demonstration Farm, 6029 Isleta Boulevard, SW (map) in Albuquerque’s South Valley. 

Come out to support local foods and:

  • Taste locally grown foods prepared by local chefs
  • Learn more about where to buy local foods and products
  • Attend a gardening workshop or cooking demonstration
  • Listen to live music while you enjoy a picnic lunch
  • Buy some seedlings to take home and plant
  • Meet your local growers and producers
  • Enjoy a variety of kids games and activities
  • Pet a baby goat or live chicken
