In addition to our popular Local Food Blog, the Mid-Region Council of Governments has launched a new electronic newsletter to supplement our outreach effort.

In our region, we face diminishing farm lands, an uncertain future water supply, fewer full-time farmers, and soaring land values.  Despite this, the demand for local foods is stronger than ever.  As a result, we need to do everything possible to nurture that demand, support our farmers' and growers' markets, and continue with the discussions and speakers that are bringing in large crowds to our monthly Agriculture Collaborative meetings.
