Supporting Business and Promoting the Workforce

The New Mexico Workforce Connection provides employers a wide variety of tailored services and specialized assistance to ensure that businesses achieve successful results.

May 31, 2007

"nm_sbdc_logo.jpgI was assisting a small business client named Douglas Craft who has a janitorial cleaning service in Taos and he was expanding his operations to Rio Rancho.  Mr. Craft came to the Sandoval Small Business Development Center to seek assistance with helping him to set up operations.

One of Mr. Craft's biggest concerns was where to find and recruit the personnel he would require in order to expand his business.  I told Mr. Craft that I believed that I knew of an organization that could assist him and I called Manuel Casias of MRCOG.  Manuel immediately got the wheels in motion with the Sandoval office of the New Mexico Workforce Connection.

Within 24 hours we had a meeting arranged with Joel Korngut and Beth Perine.  Mr. Korngut and Ms. Perine not only agreed to help compile a list of potential candidates to interview, they also offered the use of the New Mexico Workforce Connection facilities for Mr. Craft to use if this would make it more convenient for him.

The attitude and commitment to assist on all these personnel was outstanding and Mr. Craft said he had no idea that this assistance existed and he thanked me several times and said that he could concentrate on other aspects of the business because he knew that he was going to get the help he needed from the Sandoval County WCCNM organization.  He was truly floored by the proactive attitude shown by everyone involved."
