The Town of Edgewood is the newest incorporated community in the State of New Mexico, residents voted to incorporate in January of 1999. The area has been known as Edgewood for years and was a Census Designated Place for the 1990 Census . The Town is located in Southern Santa Fe County, on Interstate 40 just east of the Bernalillo County line. This is a growing community with many commuters who travel to the Albuquerque area for jobs and shopping.
