Part of the Belen District is in Socorro County; Part of the Corona District is in Lincoln County; Part of the Moriarty District is in Santa Fe County; Part of the Mountainair District is in Socorro County; Part of the Vaughn District is in Guadalupe County. The Total includes more than the geographic area of the MRCOG Region.
The University of New Mexico main campus is located in Albuquerque with a branch in Valencia County between Belen and Los Lunas. The main campus includes a nationally recognized medical school and a law school. The Fall 2005 enrollment at the main campus was 26,280. The Valencia campus offers lower division undergraduate and non-degree classes, and had a fall 2005 enrollment of 1,674.
Central New Mexico Community College (CNM, formerly TVI) began as a public technical-vocational school and has evolved into a community college offering both technical-vocational and community college programs. CNM has four campuses in the Albuquerque metro area and a daytime student population of over 26,000.
