Albuquerque, NM— Paleoethnobotanist Pam McBride will talk about rebuilding habitat that has been dramatically impacted by urbanization. Using native plants in your landscape that have co-evolved with pollinators creates a refuge for birds and insects that not only provides a dependable source of nutrition and water for pollinators, but for people to enjoy. Traditional uses of some of these same native plants will also be discussed along with the negative impacts that genetically modified organisms are having on pollinators, native plants, and people.

This program celebrates National Pollinator Week, www.pollinator.org
