The Public Involvement Committee (PIC) provides recommendations to the Metropolitan Transportation Board (MTB) from a citizen perspective. The committee reviews major transportation plan and program changes and provides input.

The membership includes representatives from each Albuquerque City Council and Bernalillo County Commission district, the City of Rio Rancho, the Town of Bernalillo, the Villages of Los Ranchos, Corrales, and Los Lunas, and Sandoval County. In addition, the PIC has members from other interested groups such as the Sandia Labs, the League of Women Voters, the Greater Albuquerque Bicycling Advisory Committee, and the Greater Albuquerque Recreational Trails Committee.
