The Transportation Coordinating Committee (TCC) provides technical advice to the Metropolitan Transportation Board (MTB). The TCC reviews items that are scheduled to come before the MTB and provides recommendations from a technical viewpoint.

The TCC membership is composed of staff-level representatives from each of the local member agencies and the New Mexico Department of Transportation. The TCC has two standing committees. They are the Transportation Program Task Group (TPTG) and the Intelligent Transportation System Subcommittee.

These presentation focuses on projected growth in our region and was presented in order to set the backdrop for discussions on how to accommodate anticipated growth in our region in terms of transportation planning and decision-making. The source for the county level population projections is the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of New Mexico (BBER). A final small area 2035 forecast will be available in the Spring of 2011.

Roadway Access Policies

Certain roadways within the metropolitan planning area are designated as limited access facilities. These policies identify permitted access locations, types of access that may be allowed, and the procedures used to modify access on the roadways
