Employment Programs

The United States Congress appropriates all funds expended to administer employment programs, including the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA), which the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions administers and monitors. The intent of the WIOA is to streamline workforce services by consolidating more than sixty federal training programs through three block grants to the states: Adult Employment and Training, Disadvantaged Youth Employment and Training, and Adult Education and Literacy Grants.
