[ARCHIVED] Winter’s a great time to take another look at Landlinknm.org

The word solstice comes from Latin sol “sun” and sistere “to stand still.” What does winter mean to you? Likely you are not standing still but you may have some “quiet” time to plan for the growing seasons ahead and think about the future of your farm, ranch or career. Do you need help farming/ ranching your land? Are you interested in leasing or selling any of your property to an aspiring farmer or rancher? Are you a new farmer looking for land, work or opportunities?

We encourage you to visit landlinknm.org and let your fellow farmers, ranchers, growers, buyers and consumers know about it too. The purpose of the website is to help connect farmers and ranchers seeking land with landowners who have land available for agricultural production. It is also great place to post and view internships and work opportunities.

Posting is free and easy:

To post a property or work opportunity, you must first register on landlinknm.org. You will be prompted to fill out a short form to create a username and password. Once registered you can post a property by clicking on “List Your Land” and /or a job by clicking on “List Your Work Opportunity”. You will be guided to fill out a form that asks basic questions about your land, your contact information and a text box to describe the property and opportunity or arrangement you are offering. There is even a place to upload photos of your property for visitors to view.

Viewing is even easier:

To view properties and/or work opportunities just go to landlinknm.org and view listings. To see complete listing with contact information you must register using your e-mail and a password. And don’t forget to check out the bulletin board and see who is seeking land, mentorships, farm work and business opportunities. The bulletin board has multiple categories where visitors can post what they are seeking or selling, farm and ranch services they offer, resumes, special events and questions.

If you need any help posting, viewing or have questions please contact Sarah via e-mail sijadi@mrcog-nm.gov or phone (505) 724-3603.
